The City of Belfast City Council, at its meeting on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, beginning at 7:00 p.m. or as soon as practical thereafter, in the Council Chambers of Belfast City Hall, which is located at 131 Church Street, shall conduct a public hearing regarding proposed amendments to the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 58, Traffic and Vehicles, Article II, Stopping, Standing, and Parking, Sec. 58-39 Specific Restrictions, and Article I, In General, Section 58-2 Penalty. The purpose of the amendments is to prohibit parking on Main Street Hill between Waldo Avenue and Lincolnville Avenue to provide safety for cyclists in the bike lane, as well as motorists using the roadway.
